With the Olympics beginning and the world watching nations come together, it feels especially meaningful to celebrate the beautiful diversity God has brought into our own congregation. This year marks the 9th Annual International Weekend, one of Middletown’s most joyful and beloved traditions — a time when we worship, eat, sing, and celebrate as one global family in Christ.
Friday Evening – International Dinner & Concert
February 27 • Dinner at 6:00 PM • Concert at 7:00 PM We begin the weekend with an international dinner featuring soups, salads, and snacks from around the world. It’s a warm, delicious way to gather as a church family before transitioning into our International Concert at 7:00 PM. The concert showcases music and worship styles from many cultures represented in our congregation.
Flag Parade Participants: If you are carrying a flag in Sabbath’s Parade of Nations, please stay for a brief practice immediately following the concert.
Sabbath Morning – International Sabbath
February 28 • 9:45 AM & 11:00 AM Sabbath begins with a combined Sabbath School at 9:45, followed by our 9th Annual International Sabbath worship service at 11:00. The service opens with our beloved Parade of Nations, then continues with music, scripture, and worship elements from around the world.
International Potluck
After the service, we gather for our International Potluck — a highlight of the weekend. Bring a dish from your culture or a country you love, and enjoy a meal that reflects the diversity of our church family.
How You Can Participate
• Wear international clothing (traditional attire or even a souvenir T‑shirt) • Bring an international dish to share • Invite friends, coworkers, and neighbors • Pray that this weekend strengthens our unity and deepens our love for one another
The 9th Annual International Weekend is more than an event — it’s a glimpse of heaven, where every nation, tribe, and tongue worship together as one. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
