We have two special services this weekend that you will not want to miss. As you may know, Middletown is one of several local churches hosting a city-wide evangelism series at the end of July as a part of ministerial training for theology students from Southern Adventist University.
Our evangelist, Kean Jagitsch, will be visiting us for a revival weekend, held tomorrow, Friday, at 7 pm and then on Sabbath morning during the worship service.
Don’t miss out on this extra special opportunity for revival together as a church family. See you there!
Peter was in Rome. He may not have known his end was coming, but he certainly knew the end was coming. “The end of all things is at hand,” he wrote. He went on. “Therefore…” Therefore what? “Therefore be.” As we’ll soon see, Peter is about to answer the question, How should I live in light of the fact that the end is near? Peter’s priorities might surprise you. They may not be what comes to your mind when faced with that question. We’ve all heard about doomsday preppers and conspiracy theorists, but what we want to know is how to live ready for Jesus to come.
This Friday evening and Sabbath morning, we’re going to look at Peter’s priorities for people living in the light of the end. We’ll see how Peter discouraged “end time frenzy,” instead emphasizing balance, intentionality, and love. Along the way, we’ll also address the question, “If Peter thought the end was near two thousand years ago, why are we still here?” Join me this weekend as we dive into Peter’s priorities for people looking for Jesus to come back.
